How to Travel to Chitwan National Park, Sauraha

• By Local Bus 
  You can take a bus from the new bus park in Gongabu, Kathmandu, and this is the biggest and busiest station in Nepal.
  It takes around 5-7 hours to reach your destination, and the destination is 168.7 km away from Kathmandu to Chitwan. (via Prithvi Hwy)
  And taking a local bus is a budget-friendly option for you. 
  The ticket price is around 800-900 Nepali rupees for Nepalese citizens and approximately 5-6 USD for foreigners. (Ticket price depends on the bus companies.)

  By Tourist Bus:
  If you want a comfortable journey, then you can take a tourist bus from the Sorhakhutte bus stop near Thamel. 
  On tourist buses, you can get these facilities: Air conditioning, WiFi, breakfast, and lunch at bus stops
  The ticket price is around 1100-1400 Nepali rupees for Nepali citizens and approximately 8-10 USD for foreigners. (Ticket price depends on the bus companies.)

By Flight from Kathmandu:
The nearest airport to Chitwan National Park is the Bharatpur Airport, and the flight will take 25 minutes to reach.
After reaching Bharatpur, there is many local transport to Sauraha that takes about 1 hour.
( Sauraha is a village near Chitwan National Park.)  

When is the Best Time to Visit Chitwan National Park?

From October to March is the best time visit to Chitwan National Park. During this period weather is perfect for jungle safaris and wildlife spotting. 
You can also visit from July to September if love the lush greeny jungle and heavy rains.

You can visit year-round but for a better wildlife experience, you can visit between October to March because this time animals are most active and the weather is cool and clear.
